Pinoy applying for a job at Walmart

An office manager at Wal-Mart was given the task of hiring an individual to fill a job opening. After sorting through a stack of resumes he found four people who were equally qualified — an American, a Russian, an Australian and a Filipino. He decided to call the four in and ask them only one question. Their answer would determine who of them would get the job.

The day came and as the four sat around the conference room table the interviewer asked, “What is the fastest thing you know?” Dave, the American, replied, “A THOUGHT . It just pops into your head. There’s no warning that it’s on the way; it’s just there. A thought is the fastest thing I know of.”

“That’s very good!” replied the interviewer.
“And now you sir?” he asked Vladimir, the Russian.
“Hmm…. let me see. A blink! It comes and goes and you don’t know that it ever happened. A BLINK is the fastest thing I know.”
“Excellent!” said the interviewer. “The blink of an eye, that’s a very popular cliche for speed.”

He then turned to George, the Australian who was contemplating his reply. “Well, out at my dad’s ranch, you step out of the house and on the wall there’s a light switch. When you flip that switch, way out across the pasture the light in the barn comes on. Yep, TURNING ON A LIGHT is the fastest thing I can think of.”

The interviewer was very impressed with the third answer and thought he had found his man. “It’s hard to beat the speed of light” he said.

Turning to Clarita, the Filipino, the fourth and final applicant, the interviewer posed the same question. Clarita replied, “Apter herring da 3 preybyus ansers sir, et’s obyus to me dat the fastest thing is Diarrhea.”

“WHAT!?” said the interviewer, stunned by the response. The others were already giggling in their seats…

“Oh, I can expleyn sir,.” said Clarita. ” You see, sir, da ader day my tummy was peeling bad and so I run so fast to the CR, but before I could THINK, BLINK, or TURN ON THE LIGHT, ‘Tang Ina (SOB), sir, I had olreydi shit in my pants!”

Clarita is now the new “Greeter” at Wal-Mart.

Do you believe in angels?

What are angels?
Angels are created spirits without bodies having understanding and free will. They are spiritual beings inferior to God and superior to man. The exact number of angels is unknown but Sacred Scripture indicates that their number is very great.

What happened to the angels who did not remain faithful to God?
The angels who did not remain faithful to God were cast into hell and these are called bad angels or devils. The devils or the evil spirits were created by God not as bad beings but as good beings. By their own free acts they chose evil and thereby became bad angels.

Do all temptations come from the bad angels?
Some temptations come from the bad angels but other temptations come from ourselves and from the persons and things about us.

Can we always resist temptations?
We can always resist temptations because no temptation can force us into sin and because God will always help us if we ask Him.

God does not demand the impossible; however He warns us that in our efforts to overcome temptation we must not rely entirely on ourselves but must seek His help.

God permits us to be tempted in order to make us realize our weakness to test our faith and to help us by His grace to strengthen virtue by practice and to obtain the reward of eternal life.

Closure and moving on

Don’t let me give up Lord,
No matter how many people hurt me,
Doubt me, laugh at me, discourage me.
Don’t let me listen.
Let me hear your voice instead.

There’ll be times when I am on the verge of despair,
Don’t let me quit, hang onto me.
You are the source of my strength
I know that you will give me for what I ask,
Closure and moving on

Battle between good and evil

Many believe that there is a war between Good and Evil. Some call it a battle. Whatever it is, it is either over and done with or still ongoing and it is between:
• compassion – selfishness
• serving self – serving others
• flesh – spirit
• maturity – youth

We have the capacity to act out of love by being sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, not by acting out of our own understanding of love. We also have the capacity to do what we think is good, but the meaning of good is based on our own interpretation, subject to our prejudices, reasoning, justifications, experience, culture, judgment and mistakes.

Good is actually a relative term, but love is not. Good is not personified and Love is. To do things for one’s own purposes with self at the center is the opposite of doing things that are done to benefit others and those whom we love. Selfishness or self-serving is the opposite of love. It is the definition of the word evil.

The battle is between:
• love (God-centeredness) and
• self-centeredness (evil)

Remember that:
• Love & truth are personified by Jesus, also known as The Word and The Messiah. Love without truth is not love at all. They can not be separated.
• Evil and self-centeredness are personified by Satan, who was once known as Lucifer, most powerful of the angels. Evil and self-focus and can’t also be separated.

End of Days

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and soul searching lately and this movie came up into my mind. I know somehow this is funny but this made me a lot stronger now.

End Of Days is set at the turn of the millennium, it tells the story of Jericho Cane, a man who finds himself pulled into a web of supernatural intrigue when he discovers that the fate of mankind rests with the safety of Christine York, a woman who is pursued by the ultimate evil. Confronted by a villain who he cannot defeat with conventional methods, Jericho desperately searches for a way to prevail, but to do so he must regain faith in himself and overcome the tragic loss of his own family.

This is for my daddy in heaven.  (a bit of my dad.)  Thank you daddy for all the happy memories. You’ve been misunderstood and if they only knew, I know people will understand. You may not be a perfect daddy but for me you’re one of the best. I miss you daddy. Happy Birthday!

When I think back on these times and the dreams we left behind
I’ll be glad ’cause I was blessed to get to have you in my life
When I look back on these days I’ll look and see your face
You were right there for me

In my dreams I’ll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there’ll always be a place for you for all my life
I’ll keep a part of you with me and everywhere I am there you’ll be

Well you showed me how it feels to feel the sky within my reach
And I always will remember all the strength you gave to me
Your love made me make it through Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me

In my dreams I’ll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there will always be a place for you for all my life
I’ll keep a part of you with me and everywhere I am there you’ll be

Cause I always saw in you my light, my strength
And I want to thank you now for all the ways
You were right there for me, You were right there for me
For always

In my dreams I’ll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there will always be a place for you for all my life
I’ll keep a part of you with me and everywhere I am there you’ll be.
And everywhere I am there you’ll be, there you’ll be.

True love story

This is a story from UP Diliman about a young college girl who passed away last month. Her name was Summera. She was hit by a dumper truck. She had a boy friend named Arif. Both of them were true lovers. They always hung on the phone. You could never see her without her cell phone. In fact she also changed her phone from Smart to Globe, so both of them can be on the same network, and save on the cost and get good network coverage. She spent half of the day talking with Arif. Summera’s family knew about their relationship. Arif was very close with Summera’s family.

Before she passed away she always told her friends “If I pass away please bury me with my hand phone” she also said the same thing to her parents.

After her death, people couldn’t carry her coffin, I was there. A lot of them tried to do so but still couldn’t, everybody including me, had tried to carry the coffin, the result is still the same. Eventually, they called a Feng Shui Master. He took a stick and started speaking to himself slowly.

After a few minutes, he said “this girl misses something here”. Then her friends told the Master about her intentions to bury her with her phone. He then opened the coffin and places her phone and SIM card inside the casket. After that they tried to carry the coffin. It could be moved and they carried it into the van easily. All of us were shocked. Summera’s parents did not inform Arif that Summera had passed away.

After 2 weeks Arif called Summera’s mom. Arif: “I’m coming home today. Cook something nice for me. Dont tell Summera that I’m coming home today, I wanna surprise her.” Her mother replied “You come home first, I wanna tell you something very important.” after he came, they told him the truth about Summera. Arif thought that they were playing a fool. He was laughing and said “don’t try to fool me – tell Summera to come out, i have a gift for her Please stop this nonsense”. Then they showed him her grave. He said… “It’s not true. We spoke yesterday. She still calls me.

Arif was shaking. Suddenly, his phone rang. “See this is from Summera, see this…” he showed the phone to Summera’s family. All of them told him to answer. He talked using the loudspeaker mode. All of them heard his conversation. Loud and clear, no cross lines, no humming. It was the actual voice of Summera & there was no way others could use her SIM card since it was nailed inside the coffin. They were so shocked and asked for the Feng Shuie Master’s help again.

The Master brought his co-masters to solve this matter. He & his co-masters worked for 5 hours. Then they discovered one thing…

Globe has the best coverage. Where ever you go, their network follows. Gotcha!!!
