Geminis enjoy their romantic relationships just like everyone else. It’s good to have someone they can talk to. Someone who understands all they are going through and who might give them one or two ideas on how to solve their problems, where they might go next, how to cope with people who are annoying them. In fact, Geminis love to “talk”. But sometimes, in romance, people have different expectations.

Some people place more priority on the physical side of loving and the emotional side of a close relationship. This, Gemini finds hard to cope with. If they care for someone, they don’t want to have to tell them this every minute of every hour. If they are close to someone, they don’t want to have to constantly hold and caress them.

Gemini needs to feel free. They need to be able to get on with their other interests, activities and friendships. The last thing they want in a romance is intensity, commitment and a feeling as if they can’t do anything without their partner’s “permission”.

To compare the Gemini’s needs in romance with their relationship with a Piscean it is necessary to consider the Piscean’s personality. Pisces is a sensitive and emotional sign and the Piscean partner will tend to lean on Gemini quite heavily. There’s nothing wrong with that if Gemini wants a partner who worships the ground they walk on and who will be there at their beck and call whenever they should need them. But what do they give up in return? Is Gemini prepared to give up their freedom?

For Pisces won’t like it if Gemini wants to spend some time pursuing their own interests and they’ll get extremely emotional too when they can’t get their own way. This could make the Gemini feel guilty and before too long they will start to realise their certain special someone, in very subtle ways, is starting to twist them around their little finger!

Perhaps Gemini won’t be as dedicated, or as romantic as the Piscean. There of course will be aspects of the Pisces nature they will admire. But in a long-term partnership, Gemini might feel as if they could have done better. Indeed, the sensitive, emotional and romantic Pisces may prove too complicated a partner for the Gemini.

Gemini likes to keep things lighthearted and easygoing. Pisces can be laid-back but they can be emotionally very demanding too. Even so these partners might sit down together and agree they really want to make a good go of this relationship. For there will be the shared hobbies or artistic interests that will supply the foundations on which this relationship could be built.

But Gemini may have to curtail their restlessness, whereas Pisces must try not to “cling” too much and allow their partner some freedom, if this relationship is to last.
